Artist Statement
My work is my attempt to capture my popcorn thoughts. You know, those fleeting bursts of ideas that pop in and out of our minds like kernels in a hot pan. It's like my brain is in a constant daydream, with unruly ideas wrestling for attention, pushing me to capture them on canvas.
I never know which idea will pop up first or how they'll connect. It's like a delightful surprise with each new thought that bursts out. Some ideas fizzle out quickly, while others keep popping, growing into something extraordinary. My creative process is utterly chaotic and thrilling! It's a wild combination of ideas flowing in all directions, and I've learned to embrace the madness and take things as they come.
Often, some sort of story reveals itself, and I hope you enjoy exploring them. I must confess—I'm not much of a reader myself, so these visual narratives are my own way of storytelling.

Artist Bio
So, check it out: Missy Galang, born and raised in Angeles City Pampanga, Philippines, had this thing for painting. I mean, it was her absolute first love. But like, here's the twist—we've all heard that whole "starving artist" gig, right? Well, she totally bought into it, just like many others out there. So, instead of going all-in, she went for a career in marketing and kept an on-again, off-again affair with art.
In 2014, she made a bold move and jetted off to the United States to get that MBA. You know, gotta have that fancy degree. And of course, she kept climbing up the marketing ladder and bonked her head on the proverbial glass ceiling.
Eventually, burnout hit her like a ton of bricks. That's when she realized she needed to rekindle that old flame and went back to the one that got away– she made her relationship with art official.
Since then, Missy's artwork has found its way into the private collections of art enthusiasts across Asia and the US. These days, she's all about spinning tales through her original artwork. Only instead of a pen, she wields a brush.
